Many of our workers have migrated to the farms from other parts of Kenya as the flower market has expanded rapidly placing pressure on companies to keep pace with the diverse needs of the growing number of workers and their families.

Farms used by World Flowers are all committed to providing a higher standard of living for their workers than can be found in the local community.

This Fairtrade funding is helping us to develop projects such as adult education and new classrooms. These projects run alongside our existing programmes such as the provision of schools, hospitals, canteens, sports facilities and a Woman’s Committee to improve the livelihoods of farm workers.
