Flowers works in conjunction with many of these to offer the best
possible environment to workers on East African flower farms.
World Flowers has a minimum requirement of all its farms
that they are inspected against the
ETI base code, firstly as a self-assessment,
and then where appropriate independently by a certification body.
Upon reaching this stage all farms progress to be audited by the
Milieu Programma Sierleelt (MPS), or an equivalent organisation. Finally
when these accreditations have been met the farm will be put forward
for the Fairtrade Marque.
At present six farms have achieved Fairtrade status.
There are many other certifications held by the farms as listed
in further certifications.
