Description:
Plan, direct and co-ordinate all accounting, banking, insurance, payroll plus other financial activities
Job responsibilities:
· Manage the day to day activities of the Finance Team, plus Payroll
· Management and delivery of the Month End financial accounting process, adhering to strict internal timetable, accrual management, balance sheet reconciliations and stock accounting
· Responsibility for financial year end processes annual audit, stock count and stat pack preparation
· Lead with the preparation of the Annual Budget and ROB
· Lead on the effective communication of financial information
· Actively develop Company Accounting Systems
· Daily communication with Bank reference payment referrals
· Day to day management of cash flow, debtor and creditor management
· Authorisation and checking of invoice coding and payments
· Monthly reconciliation review and follow up
· Daily Reconciliation of CID Cash Flow
· Communication with Auditors and Tax
· Month End PAYE and Court Orders Recs and Payments
· Weekly/Monthly reporting as required
· Authorisation of payment runs/bank payments
· Foreign currency payments
· Manage the payroll function
· Sending Bank Payments, BACs and Bankline
· Court Order Payments
· Project work as required
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
QUALIFICATIONS
CIMA/ACCA managerial level or above
EXPERIENCE
5+ years management of a finance team
Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Advanced Excel Skills
Payroll knowledge including inland revenue submissions and payroll year end processes, management of wages and salary control reconciliation and PAYE reconciliations
Understanding of VAT legislation
